Jennifer R. Sorrell earned the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC), which is awarded by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), Inc. The International Institute provides this important designation only to those municipal clerks who complete demanding education requirements and who have a record of significant contributions to their local government, their community and the state. Ms. Sorrell has served as city clerk for the City of Carbondale since March 2013. Prior to holding the position she held the position of deputy city clerk, she worked in the City Attorney’s Office and in the Water and Parking Division. She has been an employee of the City of Carbondale since December 2001.
